Ginger A. Lindbergh
I am a Webmaster for creative, successful professionals with small businesses, usually working directly with the owner. We seem to communicate well and get the job done as expected.
I do work with other developers for larger and more complicated projects. They are located in Redondo Beach California where I spent most of my life. I moved here to Florida in 2005 for family reasons ... beautiful St. Augustine Florida.
Like everyone else must do to stay on top of professional things, that goes for web development too. I am daily learning the new techniques of web standards and accessibility. Web browsers have agreed to conform to these standards but so far that has not happened. The really compliant browsers, like Firefox, are gaining in popularity. And we are learning how to use fixes for those non-compliant browsers.
I have a HP pc so I can see what most of the world sees, however I personally use a Mac G5 for my work, including graphics. Macs just seem to work better for me. I use mostly Adobe software.
My online mentors are Jeffrey Zeldman, the dozens at CSS Creator Forum, Elizabeth Castro and many others.
Why is my site called sensorium? I just thought it was a great concept, way back then in 1995, and obtained the domain. Not a whole lot more.
How I work
OK now you know a little about me. Let me tell you a little about my clients and how we work together. And why they use my services.
Let's start with the last; clients say they use my services because I get the job done as they expected, and on time and on budget.
Mostly my clients are in Los Angeles and New York so we work by email and phone. There is that rare occasion where we use a delivery service for things on dvd or even to scan. It seems to work well.
I have spent many years working with fine artists and once I moved into web work (1996) it just followed that I created sites for artists including photographers. I also do law firms, therapists, and even a dentist.
With some clients I create the site and when they accept it, we publish it to the web. And then we do nothing more until they are ready to create a new site design. For this we work on a project cost usually paid up-front. My projects are $300 and up.
With others we continue developing, adding on, changing pages. With this I work on an hourly rate.
I prefer working with small business and they are always looking at a small budget. And the reward of actually setting up a site that they really love is worth a lot to me.
New Business
I do not advertise and obtain most new clients through the referral of another client. I like that.
I also like to hear from those who come to this site. You can email me.
