Since I was a boy I really like to paint by myself till December 1989 when I really knew how to do it. I became with time to be a painting teacher not only in teaching but also in having good behavior. After ward I started to send my paintings for exhibitions and sells too.

GIL RENGIFO
I was born in Pucallpa in 1967. When I was four years old my father passed away and my mother worked to get a school education for three children. She married again after years and for a while it seemed possible that my new step father would help me economically to study in the university. But soon his relatives started to protest against it. Now I work the evening shift of a primary school and study pedagogy in the mornings. In my free time I study at Usko Ayar school and play soccer or other sports. I am the only one who supports my family faninancially, since my sister only occasionally gets a job. My main concern is to work hard to give my mother a good life from now on.
When I enetered Usko Ayar, I first had a conversation with maestro Pablo Amaringo about the appitudes that one has to develop in the school: discipline, love, respect, honesty, justice and charity towards other people. He instructs us with philosophical, noble words in the course of our studies; he guides and helps us. In fact I have never known a person like Pablo Amaringo. He is more than a friend can be; I do not have words to express myself.
GLADYS RUIZ GARCIA
I have born in a nice morning on November 4, 1957, in Pucallpa city. My father is a smal industrial and my mother a house wife, their names are: Manuel Ruiz Z. and Isabel Garcfa; I have a big and beautiful family and I an the eighth daughter. In 1982 I came back to Pucallpa in order to look after a job as a Secretary, but on March of the same year I had one opportunity for working as an English teacher and I was so happy of course. Well I am thirteen years on teaching in a national high school and also now I am teaching in a z)rivate high school and in a private college.
In 1993 I came twice to visit the Usko-Ayar Amazonian School of Painting, in those opportunities I was so impressed when I saw and I knew about the beautful things that students learn in this school. I returned my home but my heart was not with me, I was dreaming Usko-Ayar, and by myself I was saying I have to back there and a month later I visited the school again. and I had the privilege to talk with Mr. Amaringo, the ex-shaman, after a very interesting talk I realized that don Pablo Amaringo is not a simple person, he is very clever scientific and a philosopher and he is an excellent teacher. I have asked to him to study in his school.
I started to learn how to draw and then painting, I was invited to help in this beautiful project called Usko-Ayar to teach English. I am learning drawing and painting with the young ones.
I am happy to stay and take part of the Usko-Ayar AmazonianSchool of Painting, because I am learning things that learn in no where else, as the honesty, goodness, just love, humbleness and so on.
